The company was formally established in 2004, driven by experience accumulated since the late 1980s on HP NonStop, Base24, Atalla, and high-availability systems. Over time, Magnux expanded its coverage to OpenVMS, Unix/Linux, Oracle, Windows, and Storage.
Francisco Díaz Salas led the first project in Chile on the HP NonStop high-availability platform: the Tommail public mail system on the X.25 Telenet network. Formal training in the USA for three months.
Joined Tandem Chile in the Systems Engineering division, with formal studies at Tandem USA, achieving the highest certification level with the "Guardian Internals" course.
Focus on Base24, Atalla HSM, and TSS, with training at ACI Omaha (USA) and ACI Watford (UK), consolidating over 30 years of experience on mission-critical platforms.
Formal creation of Magnux Ltda, with expansion of services to OpenVMS, Unix/Linux, Oracle, Windows, and Storage. The company became a leading IT engineering alternative in Chile.
